HOUSEHOLD HINTS
By Christina Calvert and Dana Edwards
- Wash your cleaning sponges in the dishwasher or washing machine.
- It takes 21 days to break a bad habit. If you walk in the door and throw your shoes on the floor, try practicing putting your shoes away in your room for 21 days and you’ll stop tripping over your shoes before you know it!
- Throw away any medicines that are expired. You especially don’t want those little ones getting into them.
- If you scream when you see a spider, stop throwing piles of clothes or shoes on the floor. Spiders love to live in your boxes, clothes and shoes!
- Have a toilet brush in every bathroom for quick and easy cleaning.
- Use an oven tray liner. You won’t have to clean your oven nearly as often. Simply place the tray in the bottom of your oven and replace as needed.
- Clean your oven--your food will smell more delicious if you do!
- Clip out the articles of interest from magazines, then donate the magazines to a nursing home or library.
- Before making your next purchase, think before you buy. Ask yourself - Do I have a place for this? Is this a need or a want? Is this item worth my time, space, and money?
- The night before your scheduled trash pick-up, clean out all those leftovers in your frig!
